ALGOR

I have the Algor, and just can say SUPER!
Digicam Casio Exilim EX-Z3 connected and works.
It is automounted as device.
The 20 Euro cardreader from Media Markt PQI is recognized immediately and my SD card can be used as volume without delays. The printer HP Deskjet 940c works, I just had to change the device entry in Turboprint.
I am completely content !!!!!

HIGHWAY

We talked on the fair last year about the USB hardware. I had hoped that this hardware will really become available and will satisfy our needs.
I don't know what to say, I just got the Highway yesterday and I am completely enthusiastic !!!
I haven't seen such an elaborate and well manufactured product like this. First, I put the Highway into the RBM onboard of my A1200, which is somehow delicate regarding Zorro boards. No problems, the Highway did work on the spur of the moment and is very, very fast.
I recieved the card bundled with the LaCie HexaMedia Drive and started playing with it for some time. Transfer speed is really impressive. At last one can download pictures from digicams without cooking coffee in the meantime ;))

I put the thing in, looked in the back of my Power Tower 4000, and just couldn't quite "get" that there were four new USB ports in the back of my ten-year-old Amiga...
Yesterday I went to Target and bought a $40 CompactFlash reader to test it out... with a little help to get a good mountlist together, the bloody thing works like a charm! I transferred about 20 high-res JPGs taken with my Kodak DC210...all in a period of about 15 seconds...

I have my Highway in a A4ooo/060 MKI within a Micronik tower / Zorro board. Together with a Vario card, a Prometheus PCI card equipped with Voodoo 3/3ooo and LAN - and everything works like a charm.
Today I connected my printer (BJC 21oo) and I think printing over USB is a little faster than before on parallel port.
